Chiara Lungarotti

Chiara Lungarotti, born on September 21, 1971, received a degree in Agriculture at the University of Perugia and since 1999 has been the CEO of “Cantine Giorgio Lungarotti srl”, of the 5-star boutique hotel “Le Tre Vaselle srl” and of the the other companies in the Lungarotti Group.

She grew up with a love for the land which she has experienced since she was a child, and entered the company in the early 1990’s before obtaining her degree. Her specialized studies immediately allowed her to embark upon innovations and transformations in the vineyards according to avant-garde techniques, conjugating them, however, with a great respect for tradition and for the territory. In the following years she gradually widened her scope, completing her studies and complementing her skills in the various sectors of the company, through continuing education courses.

Chiara Lungarotti cultivates interests in the cultural field, for she is aware of the fundamental role that the culture of wine and olive oil have had in the development of civilization, economy, history and art, both in Umbria and in Italy, as amply demonstrated by the Wine Museum and the Olive and Oil Museum, that are managed by the Lungarotti Foundation.

Her creed is to maintain, continue and build on what has been created by her Family, always careful to maintain the balance between respect for tradition and experimentation of innovative techniques and models for development, guiding the company with courage and determination through the changes which daily, and always more swiftly, are transforming the reality around us.

CEO of the family Company since 1999, Chiara Lungarotti is very active in wine industry associations and National President of the Wine Tourism Movement, Vice President of the National Association “Le Donne del Vino”, an adviser of Federvini and of the Confederazione Italiana della Vite e del Vino; managing director of “Parco Tecnologico Agroalimentare dell’Umbria” and of “Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica”.
